A wooden staircase leads to four warm and homey master bedrooms, which mirror the home’s original characteristics, bringing to mind evocative details of bygone days. All the rooms have a private bathroom with shower and hairdryer, safe, tisane jug, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi connection.
The Maison is located in the place where domestic duties once took place, and where cheese and butter were made. The room is large with an outer balcony. The chimney, which adds a finishing touch to the furnishings and mirrors everyday life at the time, was rebuilt in its original spot out with some old planking from the house.
The family used to meet in this room in the evenings to carve wood, spin yarn, crochet and knitting tights, while the children listened to tales told by their grandparents. The wooden parquet, the original stone walls and soft lighting are reminiscent of the peaceful atmospheres of bygone days. From the outer balcony you can enjoy the lovely hues of sunset.
This room was once used as a place to store hay during the long winter. The beamed ceiling, balcony, parquet, stone walls and chimney make this a very intimate room reminiscent of mountain homes.
This room was a traditional granary for the processing of grain used in the making of black bread, which was also stored here during the winter season. The chimney, set in the ancient stone wall with old beams, will transport you into another time.
